Dear Friends,

I hope that your summer is going well and, if you haven't had time to take a vacation, that one is on the schedule. It's been a busy first six months for us but we have wonderful news to share.

Our mission when we started the company was to develop a green cabinet that would allow everyone to have a healthy product at an affordable price. As we have grown and entered new market areas, we have worked with developers, large and small, that care about providing quality products that are eco-friendly. Price point, though, is still a large factor for them in selection. Through research of some newer core products, larger scale purchasing and a slight redesign of our basic cabinet, we have launched our entry line, Studio m.

Please take a look at some of the exciting textured foils being offered and the very modern look of this new line.

Sincerely,

Lisa J Baird

Crisp, Clean & Modern:

San Francisco Condos in Russian Hill

K2 Builders, a multi-family housing developer and contractor in San Francisco recently completed their latest project above the Broadway Tunnel in San Francisco. Incorporating many green principles including reuse of many of the original building materials, K2 Builders wanted homes that were cost-effective as well as eco-friendly.

Studio Marler's Studio Classic line was selected for its unique grey finishes, green properties and its price. "Studio Marler allowed us to provide eco-friendly cabinets with the look we wanted for our market," said Garrett O'Donough, principal with K2 Builders. " But, honestly we selected them because the value and the price matched up with our budget".

Introducing Studio m

by Studio Marler Cabinetry

Smart, sophisticated spaces will love our new line, Studio m. Inspired by imported Italian lines, but purely American in it flexibility, Studio m offers textured finishes, high gloss laminates and reconstituted veneers. Similar to the European designed cabinets, our boxes are white, with white drawers, white full shelves and a detached toe base. Aluminum channeling is also available. But as they are made here in Northern California, the American influence allows for width and height modifications at no charge, upgrades to Blum Tandembox and if white is just not to your taste, upgrade to maple.

As with all of our product lines, the emphasis is on green elements and this line is no exception. The core is Encore by Sierra Pine, a recycled furniture board with no added urea formaldehyde.

Upscale Closets

Provide Up-sale Opportunities

We are amazed with the number of vanities that we have produced this year. We are assuming that a whole bathroom project is in the works along with those cabinets and what a perfect time to offer a full closet redo with that master bathroom.

The Freedonia Group recently published their survey on home storage systems in Closet Magazine. They found that the continued growth of this line of products would reach $8.5 billion by 2015. A few specifics we thought were interesting includes their findings that bins, baskets and totes accounted for the largest share of home organization product sales in 2010, with 37 percent of the total market. Demand for modular units is expected to post the fastest annual gains among home organization products, rising 4.9 percent annually through 2015. The interest in organizing closets and garages also benefits demand for modular units since these two areas account for the majority of modular unit sales.

Additionally, demand for wood- and laminate-based products is expected to post the fastest gains over the forecast period, driven by strong increases in modular units and shelving, including higher-end closet systems that resemble furniture and fine cabinetry.

When you're measuring that master bath, think about the space next to it. Wouldn't you like a beautiful matching closet?
